What Tebocan forte 120 mg is and what it is used for
Tebocan forte 120 mg contains the active substance dry quantitatively defined Ginkgo leaf extract (35-67:1) (EGb 761). Extracting agent: 60% acetone (m/m).
Memory and circulation enhancer, anti-dementia medicinal product, peripheral vasodilator.
Therapeutic indications
Tebocan forte 120 mg is used for symptomatic treatment in:
– Mild to moderately severe forms of dementia (vascular, degenerative and mixed) within the framework of the general therapeutic scheme, manifested by weakening of memory, disorders of concentration, mixed disorder of behavior and emotions.
– Initial violation of blood supply to the limbs (intermittent claudication) within the framework of physical therapy measures, especially when moving.
Vertigo and tinnitus of vascular and/or age-related origin.
The frequent occurrence of vertigo and tinnitus should always be clarified by a doctor. In the event of a sudden decrease or loss of hearing, you should immediately consult a doctor.

Do not take Tebocan forte 120 mg:
if you are allergic to Ginkgo biloba or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Tebocan forte 120 mg
If you have an increased tendency to bleed (hemorrhagic diathesis) or if you are simultaneously taking drugs that suppress coagulation, this medicinal product should only be used after consulting a doctor.
There are isolated reports of the possibility that products containing Ginkgo may increase the tendency to bleed. The intake of this product should be stopped before surgical interventions. Please inform your doctor in time that you are using Tebocan forte 120 mg so that he can decide how to proceed.
If you suffer from epilepsy, consult your doctor before starting treatment with Tebocan forte 120 mg.
Children and adolescents
Tebocan forte 120 mg is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age due to insufficient data on safety and efficacy.
Other medicines and Tebocan forte 120 mg
When Tebocan forte 120 mg is taken simultaneously with medicinal products that suppress blood clotting (such as phenprocoumon, warfarin, clopidogrel, acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory products), their effect can be enhanced.
Like all medicinal products, Tebocan forte 120 mg can affect the metabolism of various other drugs, which can affect their strength and/or duration of action. There is not enough research on these actions. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, including those without a prescription.

How to take Tebocan forte 120 mg
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is:
– For symptomatic treatment of loss of mental abilities due to an organic brain syndrome (dementia syndrome):
Adults over 1 $ years old take 1 film-coated tablet 2 times a day (morning and evening).
– To increase the distance traveled without pain in peripheral arterial occlusion:
Adults over 18 take 1 film-coated tablet 1-2 times a day (morning and evening).
– In case of vertigo and for adjunctive treatment of tinnitus:
Adults over 18 take 1 film-coated tablet 1-2 times a day (morning and evening).
Film-coated tablets should be taken every morning (1 time a day) or morning and evening (2 times a day).
Do not take Tebocan forte 120 mg while lying down. Film-coated tablets should be taken unchewed with a sufficient amount of liquid (preferably with a glass of water). The intake does not depend on the meal.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of this product is too strong or too weak.
Use in children and adolescents
Duration of treatment
– For symptomatic treatment of loss of mental abilities due to an organic brain syndrome (dementia syndrome):
The duration of treatment should last at least 8 weeks. If the disease symptoms do not improve after 3 months, you should consult your doctor whether further treatment is justified.
– In case of occlusion of the peripheral arterial vessels:
A minimum treatment duration of at least 6 weeks is required to increase pain-free walking distance.
– In case of vertigo:
The duration of treatment is 6 to 8 weeks. In the absence of improvement, if vertigo persists, treatment should be reevaluated by a physician.
– For tinnitus:
As an adjunct to treatment, it should be taken for at least 12 weeks. If not
observed improvement after 6 months, no further improvement can be expected with a longer treatment period.
